This year we have been proud to train a gardener under the Work and Retrain as a Gardener Scheme offered by the horticultural charity, the Women’s Farm and Garden Association. (The women bit goes back to its WW2 history – it started out then alongside other organisations such as the Women’s Land Army – but these days it caters for everyone, not just women).
Our excellent trainee’s placement is soon to come to an end and as such we are recruiting! If you are looking for a way to take up horticulture as a new career, this is a chance for you to work and retrain at the same time.
